Give Thanks is an annual event that benefits the StoneBridge Food Pantrythrough neighborhood food drives, a golf tournament, and weekend celebration event. 

The 2nd Annual Golf Classic is proud to be a Liberty Mutual Invitational. Golfers will have a chance to win great prizes and the winning team will earn an invitation to compete in the National Finals at the Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina. All while generously supporting the StoneBridge Food Pantry. #GiveThanks2018 #lmigolf

The “Give Thanks” team, headed up by Blake and Emily Wilcox of Blake Wilcox Properties in The Woodforest Community, has been working with StoneBridge Food Pantry to understand their needs and how they can support them. “Give Thanks” aims to help fight the startling poverty numbers through the annual “Give Thanks” event held at The Woodforest Golf Club.  It all started three years ago, when the couple saw a need and were determined to meet it.

Year one was a successful silent auction held in the fall, resulting in the feeding of every SB Food Pantry family for Thanksgiving. A meaningful partnership was formed. Year two added a wine pull, family events and live music. Even more families received Thanksgiving meals through this effort and Christmas meals were provided as well.

The 3rd Annual “Give Thanks” event set its sights higher.

This past September 28th - October 1st at Woodforest Golf Club the team welcomed in scores of community members for a range of events, launched by a Food Drive days before. The Pantry shelves were filled with over 6,000 lbs. of non-perishable food items.

A Golf Tournament, Live Music, Silent Auction, multiple Squares Boards, Wine Pull, and much more followed. The event raised $50,834.88 and all proceeds benefit the StoneBridge Food Pantry.
